I remember that the feeling inside of me, and a need to change my life, and that voice at the back of my head - it took on the specific question, and the question was "What if ...?"You know that voice in the back of your head and said "what if……"? "What if I tried that much harder?" "What if I pushed one more time?" "What if ...?" It’s the part of you that dreams.A disempowered conversation will do a couple of things that will look for blame, and it’s concerned with the past. It’ll go, "What happened before? Why didn’t it work out?" It will count what is not empowered conversation is unconcerned with blame. It simply says, "what’s next?" and it steps forward with a willingness to be responsible for what happens next. That is the difference between empowered and disempowered conversation. And I stood at that doorway and I knew nothing in my history took away from the fact that I still had a choice.

一个人最可怜的是无知，最可悲的是自私，最可敬的是拼搏。不管我竞选成功与否，我都会让自私、无知与我无缘。只有那一股子拼劲，为大家，为班级做事。我在每次的英语考试中都能达到95分以上，成绩很不错，此外，我有着强烈的责任心，有丰富的经验，可以帮助老师做一些力所能及的事。如果我竞选成功，我一定会全心全意地为同学服务。每天早上，我会带领同学们进行早读，并把同学的作业收齐。
我不仅英语学习成绩好，而且我做的英文海报和我的英语书写，也是很厉害的！我在业余时间里或假期里，我喜欢看英语报、读英文书、唱英文歌……
我从二年级到五年级，都是英语课代表，所以我有决心和经验来承担英语课代表这个职责。虽然我的口语能力还有待提高，但是我会继续努力的`！
如果我当上了英语课代表，我会尽力为老师和同学服务！
在课上，我会带头积极举手发言；课下，如果有同学来问我不会的题，我也一定会耐心爽快地回答。如果遇到了一些难题，我会组织其他的同学共同探讨，并寻求老师的帮助。正因为如此，我有信心做好一名英语科代表。

I’m honored and grateful for the invitation today.
It’s always great to be on the Penn campus. I’ve been to a lot of basketball games at the Palestra because my son played on the team. Coach didn’t give him enough playing time, but we’ll talk about that later. No, I’m very pleased with the progress Coach Allen has made and I wish them success in the future.
I’d always get a warm welcome here—except on the few occasions when I’d wear my Yankees cap.
It’s like taking your life in your hands. People would say: "We love you Denzel. But you walking around with that hat on…we don’t care who you are."
So you’ll be happy to see that I’m not wearing my Yankees cap today.
But I am wearing my Yankees socks, my Yankees t-shirt, and my Yankees underwear.
Still, I’ll be honest with you: I’m a little nervous. Speaking at a graduation of this magnitude is a little overwhelming.
This is out of my comfort zone.

We have experienced the plunders by other nations, and we have experienced the war. Yet, based on such ruins, there still stands our nation----China, unyielding and unconquerable!
I once came across an American tourist. She said, “China has a history of five thousand years, but the US only has a history of 200 years. Five thousand years ago, China took the lead in the world, and now it is the US that is leading.”My heart was deeply touched by these words. It is true that we're still a developing nation, but it doesn't mean that we can despise ourselves. We have such a long-standing history, we have such abundant resources, we have such intelligent and diligent people, and we have enough to be proud of. We have reasons to say proudly：we are sure to take the lead in the world in the future again, for our problems are big, but our ambition is even bigger, our challenges are great, but our will is evengreater.
I am Chinese. I have inherited black hair and blackeyes. I have inherited the virtues of my ancestors. I have also taken over responsibility. I am sure, that wherever I go, whatever I do, I shall never forget that I am Chinese!

ladies and gentlemen , good afternoon! i’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech. today my topic is “youth”. i hope you will like it , and found the importance in your youth so that more cherish it.
first i want to ask you some questions:

youth
youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind ; it is not rosy cheeks , red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshne; it is the freshneof the deep springs of life .
youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. this often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . nobody grows old merely by a number of years . we grow old by deserting our ideals.
years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul . worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust .
whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being ‘s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what’s next and the joy of the game of living . in the center of your heart and my heart there’s a wirelestation : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .
when the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80.
