在现今社会，就业问题就似乎总是围绕在我们的身边，成了说不完的话题。招聘会上的大字报都总写着“有经验者优先”，可还在校园里面的我们这班学子社会经验又会拥有多少呢?为了拓展自身的知识面，扩大与社会的接触面，增加个人在社会竞争中的经验，锻炼和提高自己的能力，以便在以后毕业后能真正真正走入社会，能够适应国内外的经济形势的变化，并且能够在生活和工作中很好的地处理各方面的问题，开始了我这个假期的社会实践。实践，就是把我们在学校所学的理论知识，运用到客观实际中去，使自己所学的理论知识有用武之地。只学不实践，那么所学的就等于零。理论应该与实践相结合。另一方面，实践可为以后找工作打基础。通过这段时间的实习，学到一些在学校里学不到的东西。因为环境的不同，接触的人与事不同，从中所学的东西自然就不一样了。要学会从实践中学习，从学习中实践。
正所谓“不以规矩不能成方圆”。超市作为一个经营单位，自然有自己的规矩。例如不许篡位，不许随意换岗，不许随意闲逸聊天等等。像我，是负责在食品区的巧克力区站岗的'，就不能跑去生活用品区，更不能与同岗位的同事无视客人而侃侃而谈。在超市工作，必须有一个严谨的心与一份严谨的态度。首先，这就表现在严格固定的上班时间。我的上班时间是早上8点到中午12点半，晚上是7点到10点半。超市服务员的工作看似简简单单地站站就可以了，但是，只有真正从事这份工作后才知其艰辛。早上必须一早起床，睡眼惺忪地就要开始到达上班地点站岗了，而且一站就是几个小时，这样一天站下来，脚都有点颤抖了，发软了。唯一休息的时间，也就是上厕所的时间。而且，作为一个合格的超市服务员，不能只是呆呆地站着，还必须适当的补货。货架上的货物被顾客买走了，货架就有空位置了，这是，我们就得从仓库把同样的产品拿来补到原来的位子上去。如果超市的顾客很多的话，不能只顾着补货，要看着点的，防止小偷的偷窃行为。当然，不是每时每刻都有货上的。有时，货架上的货物都补齐了，人就比较闲，但是这个闲不能表现出来，必须找别的事情做的。超市是不允许养一个懒惰的员工的。所以，这个时候还得负责所在位置的清洁工作，要货架与食物看起来时刻都那么地光鲜亮丽，这样客人才有购买欲。除此之外，员工还必须掌握所负责区域的相关知识。比如我负责的是巧克力区，那么我就必须掌握巧克力的相关知识，包括热量，价格，味道等等。顾客就是上帝，当顾客问到相关问题时，我们就能答得上话，尽忠尽职了。
作为一个大学生，通过寒假打工我认识到这是其参加社会实践活动的形式之一，也是勤工俭学的有效途径;大学生打工是发展教育的需要，也是学生自身发展的需要的;而且大学生打工也可以增强自身竞争力。从学校教育的角度来看，大学生打工，可以在一定程度上弥补我国现行大学教育体系中书本知识与社会实践严重脱节的缺陷，提高大学生的社会实践能力，增加大学生的社会经验，训练大学生的实际社交能力和自我保护能力。
