Our environment is very important for our lives.Good environment makes us fit and happy.In the past,there were many trees around us,the air was fresh and the river was clean.But now,things change bad.People cut down trees without limitation.Air pollution and water polloution are very serious .The environment around us becomes very terrible.Therefore,we have to stop it and begin to protect our environment. First,we should plant more trees to keep water,which can also make our city beautiful.Second,we can ride a bike or walk to the school and work.In this way,we not only save energy,but also reduce the air pollution.Third,we should stop factories from pouring waste water into the river and waste gas into the air.Fourth,protecting environment should start with me.It's every one 's duty to protect the environment.Whenever we see litter on the ground,we should pick it up and throw it into dusbins.Never spit in public.Don’t draw on public walls. All in all,a good environment is very important for us.We should summon more people to protect the environment.

Today，we are gathering here to discuss a very hot issue.
how to find harmony in a new age between man and nature? Where modern science and technology are concerned I am only a layman I have to say.
However, living in this new age , seeing my dear ones suffering from respiratory diseases from time to time, finding the beautiful colors of green and blue are being replaced by that of gray and pale, and realizing that our mother planet is getting more and more unhealthy; I cant help trying to offer my idea and my trivial efforts to look for the answer of the question.
As the ancient Greek oracle goes: know thyself.
I think in answering this above-mentioned question, this precondition is also very important.
Who are we? This is a question, which should be answered not only by those specialists, but also by every one of human beings.
Some people may proudly say: we are the masters of nature.
It is true that the idea of man can conquer nature has dominated peoples mind for years, and it is true, man has kept acting like a master and doing whatever things he wants for thousands of years.
However, as the consequence of this kind of leadership , now the master seems to be confronted with problems that are far beyond his control.
Facts are really very ample.
Thegreen house effect leaves islands and cities along the coast, such as this oriental pearl-Shanghai, in danger of the disaster of being drowned; the holes of the ozone layer make the earth less suitable to live for some creatures including human beings; the phenomena of EL Nino and La Nina leave the land with serious flood and drought, and the diseases, caused by pollution, are increasing at an incredible speed...
Seeing all these facts, can we still ignore the counterattack of nature? We are not the masters of nature.
Facing all the disasters made by ourselves, we, mankind as a whole should realize that we are just a normal member of the big family of nature.
Any mistreatment towards nature will meet only with the revenge from her.
By saying so, I do not mean we should give a sudden stop to any development.
Because that will result in a threat to the existence of human society.
I mean we should treat nature equally, leaving the chance of existence and development to nature as we are obtaining the same thing, and thus we will get the situation of win-win.
I am very pleased to find that now more and more people, from every corner of the planet, have come to realize that harmony with nature is the only way to universal and continuous progress and prosperity.
And I think that is why we come here from all over the country to discuss this topic today.I want to end my speech by quoting from n.

我这样说，并不是指我们应该马上停止发展。因为这会导致对人类社会生存的威胁。我指的是我们应该平等地对待自然，给自然以生存和发展的机会，就像我们自身所寻求的一样。只有这样，我们才会有一个皆大欢喜的境况。
我很高兴地发现来自地球各个地方的越来越多的人，正逐步意识到与自然的和谐是不断繁荣进步的出路。这就是今日我们从全国吝地汇集在此讨论这一话题的原因。

i feel so happy to have the chance to make a speech. the title of my speech is protect the environment, protect ourselves. i hope you will like it.
everybody knows waste paper and used coke cans are discarded everywhere. you might have seen plastic bags flying in the sky and getting caught in the trees when the wind blows or maybe you have seen old cans floating in the rivers and polluting the water. our environment is the place in which we live, but it is being ruined by us.
there is a story about house and trees. it is said that a man’s house was surrounded by a lot of trees. though the wind was strong, that man could have a good rest under the trees. how comfortable the life was! one day, that man wanted to enlarge his house, so he cut down all the trees. then the autumn came without the protection. the strong wind blew the roof of the house into the sky. the whole house was gone with the wind. what a pity! but that’s the price people have to pay for destroying in the ecology balance. people shouldn’t be short-sighted. protecting the environment is everyone’s task.
as you know, there are four kinds of pollution. they are air pollution, water pollution, waste pollution and noise pollution. but what can we do to solve the pollution? i think, firstly, we can make cars that don’t pollute the environment. we can ask companies to use modern clean technology. in some big cities, we can limit the number of cars. secondly, we can try to use less water and make sure that we do not pollute the water. we can tell factories that they are not allowed to pour waste water into the lakes and rivers. thirdly, we should not throw rubbish in parks and cities. we can pick up rubbish if we see it. we can put more rubbish bins in our parks and cities. fourthly, we can live far from the noise and make the laws to limit the noise.
the air, water and the whole atmosphere directly influenced our lives, such as the air, people may cough and it will lead to cancer. so we must try our best to keep the world clean and tidy. to reach it, i want to put forward three points to everybody---point 1: don’t spit and liter; point 2: don’t draw on the wall; point 3: clean the streets every day.
in order to make the environment clean, let’s join our hands together to make the world better.
